On the new Popular modifications

For those who haven't heard, dA is changing up the Popular section you see on the front page. It's being changed to display unpopular work to make it popular.

I know what you're thinking. The Popular section displaying unpopular work? There's a contradiction in there somewhere or it's just me.

Isn't the point of the Popular section for POPULAR art? I'd imagine that popular art is popular for a reason. I don't want to log in everyday to see anything other than the creations of DeviantART's greatest artists.

Sure, I'd love to see some of my own work up there, but I'd rather it be up there because it really is a work of art rather than some algorithm to put my work with other not-so-great art.
